Went on a nice walk yesterday, and decided to mix things up and listen to Toto. Put on “Toto Esentials” and was amazed on how many great songs they have. Some songs I havent heard in a long time (Such as “I’ll Supply the Love” and “Georgy Porgy” and one of my favorites “Stranger in Town”). Also realized what a great solo and jam are in the song “Rosanna” Very much enjoyed it and will definatly listen to it again.
As a side note, SiriusXM’s poll of the day was Songs With Numbers In The Titles, and “99” by Toto received a lot of votes. Always amazed when things like this happen.
Also, while out walking, not sure why, but I thought of one of my all time favorite movies “The Bad News Bears in Breaking Training” Thinking of certain scenes always puts me in a good mood, and makes me laugh. When I got home, I dug out my DVD copy and decided to watch the entrie movie from begining to end. And was just as good as it always has been.
There are so many great scenes in this movie, including the “Let Them Play” scene in the Astrdome with the Houston Astro Players, and Tanner Boyle (Christopher Barnes) running around trowing the bases at the umps. All time classic.
As I have mentioned numerous times, Tanner Boyle (Christopher Barnes) is one of my all time favorite movie characters. Shortly after the Bad News Bears movies, he pretty much dissapered from Hollywood. There have been some reunions with members of the cast, and Panini America even put out a Card Set (including 6 autograpth cards) but now Tanner Boyle. I have been trying to find a way to contact him to let him know how his performance has stuck with me for more than 40 years. I do have a custom card of him, and would love one day to get it autographed by Tanner himself.
I know this is a random post, but its whats on my mind, so its what I am going to write about
More to come
