Posted on June 13, 2023 by AverageAndy

Things fell into place and I was able to take a quick trip to Pittsburgh to meet a friend and catch a few Mets / Pirates games at PNC Park. Had a great time at the games. Friday Night was … Continue reading →

Remembering past Survivor Contestants

Posted on April 19, 2023 by AverageAndy

Was sad to see that former Survivor player Keith Nale (Survivor: San Juan del Sur and Survivor: Cambodia) passed away at age 62. Really enjoyed watching him (and his son) play. Was always smiling and upbeat and looked like he … Continue reading →

Posted on March 3, 2023 by AverageAndy

Survivor returned on Wednesday for Season 44 with a 2 hour premier. I was looking forward to the return, and it did not disappoint. Being a fan since the beginning (over 22 years), Survivor still keeps my attention and I … Continue reading →

Need to catch up on a few things. Was sad to see that Tom Batiuk ended his comic strip Funky Winkerbean after 50 years. I have enjoyed reading Funky Winkerbean for as long as I can remember, a staple of … Continue reading →

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Posted on December 22, 2022 by AverageAndy

Only 3 more days until Christmas. While it doesn’t look like we will have a white Christmas here on the east coast, it is supposed to be very cold (especially on Saturday). But not as cold as some parts of … Continue reading →

Where did the time go

Posted on November 9, 2022 by AverageAndy

Looking and seeing that the last time I wrote anything was over 2 weeks ago. It doesn’t seem possible that that much time had passed but here we are, a week into November, with the Holiday season coming up fast; … Continue reading →

Thoughts for a Friday

All caught up with Survivor and The Amazing Race. Both shows have been great this season. With Survivor, its interesting watching how things have changed the past few seasons. Seems to be more emphasis on bonding and relationships, and less … Continue reading →

The Bad, The Good, and the Good

Posted on October 12, 2022 by AverageAndy

What a roller coaster of a ride last weekend with the NY Mets and the NY Giants. The Mets (who had a great regular season), went into a funk at the wrong time, and lost to the San Diego Padres … Continue reading →
