Survivor – Grubs Grubs and more Grubs

Fun episode of Survivor on Wednesday. The first tribal council after the merge is always chaotic as people scramble to see which original alliances are still in place, and who they can really trust. Also, I like it when the person who wins immunity, in this case, Mike, is supposed to be the easy vote. Watching everybody scramble was a lot of fun

But the best part of the episode was watching the survivor try to down a plate of grubs in order to be part of the merge feast. The looks on some of their faces were priceless. I also liked when Kristen just threw the grubs away and shouted, “Be Free”, giving up on the chance to make it to the feast.

On Thursday, the day after the episode aired, over on Instagram, jwayiv, who has been posting for 183 straight days about wanting to be cast on Survivor, put out a challenge to #CBS, #CBSCasting, #JeffProbst, and #Jesse Tannenbaum that he would be willing to eat grubs live. Here is his post, and then my reply and post (I’m new to this Instagram thing but am learning)

As another person trying to get cast on a future season of Survivor, I, too, would be willing to give the grubs a taste and would gladly put myself in the ring with jwayiv as well as Gervase Petersone (Survivor: Borneo) and John Cochran (Survivor: Carmoan), both Survivor legends when it comes to eating Grubs (and beetles)

Fingers crossed somebody sees this and reaches out to both me and jwayiv

Big game today for the Lehigh Mountain Hawks against Colgate. A win would put them in a great position to win another Patriot League Championship

The Lehigh Men’s Basketball team raised their 2025-2026 Patriot League banner on Thursday night and then went out and beat Cornell for their 1st win of the season. Long way to go, but let’s see if they can win back-to-back championships and another trip to the NCAA Tournament

The New York Football Giants travel to Philadelphia tomorrow to play the Eagles. The last time the Giants beat the Eagles on the road was October 27th, 2013. Since then, the Eagles have won 13 consecutive home games against the Giants. (Including a playoff victory). Time for this streak to end
