The Lehigh Mountain Hawks 2010 Football season has come to an end with a 42 – 20 loss to the University of Delaware on Saturday.   It was a great season for the Brown and White, advancing to the play-offs and even winning their 1st round game.    Now its time to root for the Mens Basketball team as they try to repeat as Patriot League Champions and advance to the NCAA tournament.

Also only a handful of shows left in this season.   I have really enjoyed the season (even with the 2 woman quitting, something Average Andy would never even think off)

Spent Saturday as a volunteer at the Tough Mudder race at Raceway Park NJ.   Was amazed at the number of people who showed up for the 12 mile run which included swimming, running through mud, as well as tires and electric wires.  Volunteering was lots of fun and got to work with some very nice people.

After the race there was music and a bonfire to get everybody warmed up

Next race in the NY area is in April 2011 near Allentown PA.    Maybe Average Andy will be running this time

Got home to see the Lehigh Mountain Hawks beat Lafayette  in college footballs most played rivalry (146 games and counting).   Lehigh now heads to the play-offs agains Northern Iowa next Saturday

Finally  went for a short (5K) run on Sunday and then spent the rest of the day raking the last of the leave that continue to cover my lawn.

A few more days until the Thanksgiving Holiday.    Looking forward to a festive diner with the family.

My Blackberry was rebuilt and after a reinstall of the WordPress App and a few google searches on some connection issues, I am back posting. I also got a new battery for my BB so I should be able to post more while on the go.

Apple Picking 2010

Had a great day with my daughter, my buddy and his son watching the Lehigh Mountain Hawks (also the Engineers, or Brown and White) but a beating on Bucknell at beautiful Goodman Stadium on Bethlehem, PA.   A perfect fall day to watch a football game.    Lehigh improved to 5 – 2 (2 -0) and looks to be on their way to a Patriot League title and an automatic bid in the Bowl Subdivision (1-AA) play-offs

After the game, took a drive through campus (still amazed that after 25 years, I can still find my way around the campus).   The campus looks great (especially this time  of year with the trees changing colors

Yesterday, went to the movies and saw “The Social Club”.   Really enjoyed the movie.   Not sure how much is actually true, but got the impression that Mark Zuckenberg is one smart fella.

Tomorrow were off to the local farm to pick some apples with friends.

Busy Saturday. Have to work during the day, then I am off to my 25th High School reunion in the evening. Will also try to watch some Lehigh Football (they have satalite TV where I am working) Also want to see if the Texas Rangers can rebound and finaly win a home playoff game (and beat the Yankees)
